Guster is a five month old terrier/ schnauzer mix that Chris and I adopted from the Circle of Friends Animal Society in Athens. He's pretty freaking adorable if I do say so myself.
We got him on Sunday after driving home from Chattanooga for the weekend, a week after we applied to adopt him. We met him the 25th at an adoption fair, and decided the next day that he would be a great pet for us, and that if we missed this opportunity, we might wait another two years for another dog like him to come up for adoption in our area. It actually worked out well for us to be out of town before picking him up, because we were prepared in advance, and we didn't spend all weekend freaking out about getting to the adoption fair on Sunday.
I'm not going to lie, it's been a lot of work. A LOT. The cute puppy we saw at the adoption fair is a nosey little thing that gets into anything we don't put out of his reach. And while he's crate trained, there have still been a few accidents. But he's learning fast, and so are we.
