Let’s face it, planners are a way to express personality. Take one good look at someone’s planner and it will speak volumes about their personality. My planner is sea-foam green with chevron. I like fun, soft colors and patterns, but also order. Chelsea’s planner is blue, purple, green, and white stripes and everything is written in silver gel pen. Clean lines and simple organization meets the childhood excitement of a glittery gel pen. (As you get to know us, you’ll see how well our planners match our personalities.)
One of my favorite parts of a planner is having all of my calendar events, lists, and ideas in one place. While some people suggest keeping work separate from the rest of your life, if I didn’t put everything in one place, I’d forget things. As someone who juggles multiple commitments, a planner helps me keep my head wrapped around everything in my life, especially to-do lists. Keeping my to-do lists with my events not only helps me keep my thoughts organized, but also helps me prioritize my lists.
Nothing keeps my life in order quite like handwritten reminders and events, to do lists, and post-it notes for target trips. I thought I’d pass on a few of my favorite planners, and hopefully inspire you to go back to the paper calendar.
