If you haven't seen it (though I still suggest a read through!), EJ and I have decided to move in together this summer when both of our leases end. So many factors went into the decision, but ultimately, it came down to maturity and timing. We talked about it last year after I graduated from undergrad, but decided to wait a year and spend some time in the "real world" as a couple before we made any big decisions. A year later it looks like we will both definitely be in Winston-Salem for at least the next year and our relationship, if anything, is even better now that we are out of college.
So of course, with that in the back of my mind, I have spent way more time apartment hunting and scouring Pinterest for decor ideas than I have on my finals. Oops?
The first thing I looked for was a way to DIY headboards. In my current studio apartment my bed sits caddy corner in the room so not having a headboard wasn't really a big deal. However, now that I'll have a real bedroom (yay doors!), I don't want just my box spring and mattress sitting on some bed rails. I am kind of loving this idea using re-purposed shutters!
I guess that means I have to figure out where to hang his pirate flag...
