The radio is great, but doesn't offer much choice or variety. On the other hand, iTunes allows you to pick your music, but can be hard if you have difficulty making choices. And as someone who can't even decide what underwear to put on in the morning, I like to eliminate stress where I can.
Enter Pandora - the perfect mix of variety and indecision. I have put together a list of a few of my favorite Pandora stations for your listening pleasure (sweet air guitar moves not included).
"Save Tonight" Radio
The turn of the millennium was a great time for music. "Save Tonight" Radio captures the juxtaposition of angst filled teenagedom with the beauty of first love with such artists as Edwin McCain, Goo Goo Dolls, and Blink-182. If you too enjoy rocking out in your bedroom while singing into a hairbrush and hoping he'll call, then check it out. Because "Collide" by Howie Day...need I say more? Swoon.
"Girls Just Want to Have Fun" Radio
This is cleaning music right here. Grab a friend, some old t-shirts, a Swiffer Wet Jet, and maybe a glass of wine and start dancing. When Leah and I were living together, our kitchen was cleaned "Time After Time" to the stylings of Ms. Lauper and her contemporaries (see what I did there?). 80's girl bands really speak to me.
"Doin' What She Likes" Radio
Leah is in Georgia. I'm in North Carolina. You had to see some country coming. And Mr. Blake Shelton is going to bring it to you. He makes us wish our boyfriends would stay home from work to wine and dine us, but alas, no luck thus far. Throw in some Tim McGraw and Lee Brice and you're all set for a backyard BBQ or floating down a river all afternoon.
I have a confession to make. If you see me driving down the road singing at the top of my lungs, it's probably Disney. Tangled, Frozen, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid...I know them all. I even do the accents, which makes me a very entertaining road trip passenger. Disney Radio is my feel good stuff. C'mon. I know Olaf makes you laugh too.
