Lately, however, sports bras have gained a lacier cousin and I am happy to say she seems to be here to stay. The bralette is quickly becoming one of my favorite options for those days when I really just want to be comfy, but still need to look like a real person who hasn't just left the gym. The lacy fabrics still makes me feel pretty and put together, but the simple construction is just so so freeing!
Disclaimer: I am a solid 34 B and I know that the bralette might not be the most supportive option for everyone. Even for me, there are certain tops that still require a standard underwire and hooks situation. Judge for yourself, but it's really just whatever you are comfortable with!
The bralette made its biggest debut in the summer as a pretty option under more open tanks, but I feel like there is still time for the bralette to shine in the age of chunky sweaters. Unfortunately, my favorite bralette came from the Hanes outlet and I cannot find it online in any of their collections (insert sad face here). However, here are a few other bralettes that I am loving right now:
The Aerie collection rings in at an affordable $26.95. I personally love the construction of the Boho style, but depending on your outfit, I would totally suggest checking out their other styles as well! Plus with so many colors to choose from, how can you just pick one??
This bralette is the closest version I have found to my Hanes Outlet find. Even the pale purple color is the same! This one offers a little less support, but trust me it makes up for it in comfort! The lacy racerback looks adorable under tanks and rings in at $30.00.
So this one isn't technically a bralette since it has some boning in the sides for support, but as far as strapless bras go, this bandeau looks mighty comfortable and hella cute for $38.00. So much prettier than the padded torture contraption sitting in my drawer....
